Sun Devil Football saw the 10th largest one-year attendance increase in the nation last season, according to a study conduced by the NCAA.
Sun Devil Stadium drew an average of 62,689 fans in 2013, which was 5,854 more fans per game than the 56,835 that attended in 2012. It was also ASU’s highest average home attendance since the 2008 season.
A total of 501,509 fans made their pilgrimage between the Buttes in 2013, which ranked as the 26th highest total average among Div. I FBS programs.
ASU’s student section, known as “The Inferno,” became the largest in the Pac-12 as student tickers reached an all-time of 12,000-plus.
A record 14,118 student tickets were sold for USC game – the first time in school history more than 14,000.
The Sun Devils hosted the 2013 Pac-12 Football Championship Game and secured the largest crowd in the annual game’s history (69, 595)
Protecting Our House
- Football went 7-0 at home during the regular season and has not lost a regular season home game since Oct. 27, 2012
- Men’s Basketball put together one of the best home seasons in 40-year history of Wells Fargo Arena – finished 16-1 on Ned Wulk Court and won eight straight Pac-12 home games
- Softball’s 2014 senior class won 151 games at Farrington Stadium since 2011 and boast a .875-plus winning percentage at home
- Baseball closed out the 41-year history of Packard Stadium with a .785 winning percentage in 1,430 total games and led the West Coast in regular-season attendance for the 10th consecutive season
