Meet Roosevelt Scott

I wanted to introduce one of our newest Sun Devil’s Roosevelt Scott. “Ro” as he likes to go by, is originally from Chicago and Minneapolis. He spent last season at Indian Hills Junior College where he was the leading scorer on a team that went to the JUCO National Championship game. Although I like to talk about all of his basketball accolades I wanted to share a behind the scenes look at Ro. Here is a Q&A that we had:
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
“Tom & Jerry.”
Do you have a favorite television show now?
“Sponge Bob Square Pants.”
What attracted you to Arizona State?
“The weather, the quality of the education and the history of great men that have come from the basketball program.”
What’s been the best part so far about living in Tempe?
“The love I have been shown from the coaching staff. They really care about me.”
Who did you look up to growing up?
“My oldest brother Orlando Scott.”
What type of music do you listen to and who are some of your favorite artists?
“Rap, R&B and Pop. Some of my favorite artists are Meek Mill, Chris Brown, Rhianna & Kid Rock.”
If you couldn’t play basketball one day for a living what would you want to do?
“I would be a Coach or a Teacher because I love being around kids and helping them.
I hope you enjoyed taking a closer look at one of our exciting newcomers and you should look forward to seeing him on the court in November!
