Offense

Name: Taylor Kelly

Position: Quarterback

Class: Redshirt Sophomore

Height: 6-2

Hometown: Eagle, Idaho

Quarterback Taylor Kelly set a new career high with five passing touchdowns, fourth most in school history, and collected 332 passing yards and 67 rushing yards in the Sun Devils’ 51-17 win over Colorado in Boulder, Colo. He hasn’t thrown an interception in 99 attempts and his 23-yard run in the first quarter was his longest run of the season.

The offense recorded a season-high 593 total yards of offense, including 261 rushing yards and 332 passing yards. ASU’s 593 yards is the most in a conference road game since it had 651 yards at Arizona on Nov. 23, 1996.

Kelly is first in the Pac-12 in passing efficiency (175.98) and fourth in total offense (301.67).

Name: Marion Grice

Position: Running back

Class: Junior

Height: 6-0

Weight: 199

Hometown: Houston, Texas

Running back Marion Grice recorded three receiving touchdowns en route to grabbing five catches for 101 yards. Grice has touched the ball 50 times this season and has nine touchdowns. That means that 18 percent of the time he touches the ball, he finds the endzone.

Grice is third in the Pac-12 and tied for 31st in the nation in scoring (9.00).  

Defense

Name: Brandon Magee  

Position: Linebacker  

Class: Redshirt senior  

Height: 6-0

Weight: 228

Hometown: Corona, Calif.

Linebacker Brandon Magee set a new career high with nine tackles (all solo) and two sacks in the Sun Devils’ 51-17 win over Colorado in Boulder, Colo. His play helped the defense hold the Buffaloes to a season-low 75 net rushing yards on 32 attempts.

The Devils did not give up any points in the second half and are outscoring opponents 64-7 in the fourth quarter. Magee is fourth in the conference in tackles with 41.

Special Teams

Name: Rashad Ross   

Position: Wide receiver/kick returner   

Class: Senior   

Height: 6-0

Weight: 167

Hometown: Vallejo, Calif. 

Kick returner Rashad Ross took the took the opening kickoff of the second half back 100 yards for a touchdown in the Sun Devils’ 51-17 win over Colorado in Boulder, Colo. ASU was up by just three points heading into the third quarter and the Buffaloes had all the momentum after scoring a 20-yard touchdown with 24 seconds left in the second before forcing a fumble and converting a field goal as time expired.  

Ross’ kickoff return touchdown sparked the Sun Devils to a 31-point second half and a big conference road victory. It was the second kick return for a touchdown in his career.
