The Sun Devils looked strong in their Pac-12 opener again Utah on Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium.

Utah’s 209 yards of total offense is the fewest yards ASU has allowed in a league game since it gave up 181 at Washington State on Oct. 10, 2009.

Head coach Todd Graham told his players how proud he was of them during his post-game locker room speech but stressed, “It was the first step and we have eight more steps to go,” said Graham.

Defensive lineman Will Sutton broke the rock as the Sun Devils celebrated that “first step” in their ultimate goal of going undefeated in Pac-12 play.
