2012 Sun Devils In The Summer
Team USA/ Orleans Firebirds – Cape Cod League
Trevor Williams - Williams honored his commitment to the Orleans Firebirds and made two appearances in the Cape League before heading off to Team USA. Williams wore #34 in honor of his teammate and roommate, Cory Hahn, who had plans to play in the Cape League before being injured at ASU. Williams’ gesture made sure Hahn finally made it to the Cape.
Williams started two games and pitched eight innings for the Firebirds. He allowed two earned runs on six hits while striking out four and walking a pair.
Williams spent the rest of the summer playing for Team USA and helped the team earn a bronze medal.
Cotuit Kettleers – Cape Cod League
Adam McCreery - has pitched in seven games this season going for 21.1 innings allowing 14 runs on 27 hits and 6 walks, while striking out 30
Orleans Firebirds – Cape Cod League
Max Rossiter – has played in 24 games with a .231 average, hitting 10 RBI, 18 hits, including three doubles and one home run, and scored nine runs
Newport Gulls – New England Collegiate Baseball League
Kasey Coffman – has played in 27 games this season batting .328 with 38 hits in 116 at-bats with 5 homeruns and 31 RBI with 27 runs scored and 16 walks drawn. He was named to the NECBL Eastern Division All-Star team where he had a hit and a stolen base in a loss
James McDonald - has played in 4 games this season batting .214 with 3 hits in 14 at-bats as well as 2 RBI and drawing 3 walks. In his last 2 games he went 2 for 7 and drew 3 walks while striking out twice
Mankato Moondods – Northwoods Collegiate Summer League
Trever Allen - has played in 28 games this season batting .253 with 22 hits in 87 at-bats with 14 RBI, 14 runs scored and 10 walks drawn while also stealing 5 bases
Drew Stankiewicz – has played in 36 games this season batting .200 with 21 hits in 105 at-bats with 16 RBI, 12 runs scored and 12 walks drawn
Rochester Honkers – Northwoods Collegiate Summer League
Michael Benjamin – has played in 14 games this season batting .273 with 15 hits in 55 at-bats with 4 RBI, 7 runs scored and 6 walks drawn. In his last game he went 0 for 1
Bend Elks – West Coast Collegiate Summer League
Tucker Esmay – has played in two games this season, batting .286 with two hits in seven at-bats with an RBI, two runs scored and three walks drawn. He is out for the rest of the summer after having appendicitis
Darin Gillies – has pitched in 8 games this season with a 3 and 1 record with 36.2 innings pitched and a 1.72 ERA. He has struck out 26 batters while walking 15. In his last start he threw for a complete game shutout only allowing 3 hits while striking out 5 in a win against Corvallis. He was also named to the West Coast League All star team and pitched 1 inning while striking out 2 and helped the West All Stars to a 3-2 win over the East
Josh McAlister - has pitched in relief in 16 games this season going 16.2 innings and allowing 9 earned runs with a 4.86 ERA. He also has 9 strikeouts while allowing 7 walks. In his last 3 starts he threw for 3.1 innings allowing 0 runs and giving up 5 hits
